Match length and diameter to the joint, then check the round head, weld positions and coil envelope against the actual nailer. A 15° angle alone does not establish tool compatibility.
Choose a shank around the timber joint

Smooth
Specify the smooth shaft and evaluate driving, splitting and joint requirements with your timber.
Ring
Confirm ring length and geometry. Assess withdrawal requirements on an approved joint or test basis.
Screw / spiral
Confirm the spiral profile, driving behavior and suitability for your pallet or wooden case construction.
Specify the point
Diamond, blunt and other point profiles influence the way a nail enters wood. Include the required point description or drawing. Trial the nail on representative timber to check splitting, driving and point projection.

Color is an appearance reference, not proof of coating chemistry or corrosion resistance.

H, L1 and L2 retain the catalog drawing symbols; confirm their datums against the approved drawing. Reference 2556 is 56 mm in the source catalog, while the selected public offering uses 2-1/4" × .099" / 2.5 × 57 mm. Its final assembly dimensions must be confirmed for the 57 mm version.

Specify diameter, length, head, shank and finish together. The listed 2.1–3.3 mm and 32–100 mm ranges contain individual combinations; they are not an unrestricted size grid.

Check 15° wire collation, coil dimensions, weld positions and the nailer’s approved range. Angle alone does not establish compatibility.

Record misfeeds, incomplete driving, split timber and head position using representative production wood; assess joint performance against your pallet or crate specification.

Can I enquire without knowing the nail size?
Yes. Send a clear photo of your current coil, a carton label or your nailer model, and tell us whether you make pallets, crates or packing cases. We will ask for any additional details needed to identify the nail and prepare a quotation.
Which shank should I request?
Send the joint specification and current nail sample. Ring, screw and smooth shanks need evaluation in the actual timber and fastening pattern.
Can the same size run in every 15° nailer?
No. Head diameter, wire placement, coil format and each tool’s permitted dimensions must also match.
Application limits to check
- Do not substitute pallet coils for large-head roofing nails.
- Do not treat a shank description as a certified pallet load rating.
