Task and selection logic

Specified shingle fastening with a roofing nailer

A broad head and a compatible collated format support this application. Head diameter, shank, penetration and coating must meet the roof-system requirement.

Specified roofing-sheet fastening

The umbrella head is a separate format. Sheet profile, support, washer or seal details and installation method determine whether it is appropriate.

01

Name the roof system

Give the roof-covering brand and model, material, deck or support, and the installation specification. “Roofing nail” alone is not a complete requirement.

02

Check the fastener requirements

Match the required head, diameter, length, penetration, material and corrosion protection. Confirm whether a seal or a different cap-fastener system is specified.

03

Confirm the method of installation

For coil roofing nails, use the complete nailer manual and verify the head and feed envelope. Follow the covering manufacturer’s installation details and local project requirements.

Wide-head coil nails are not automatically suitable for pallet assembly or every roofing material. The roof-system specification controls the choice.
