BEFORE YOU CHOOSE A FASTENER

Start with the workpiece and equipment.

Bring the current fastener or drawing, material stack, joint, exact tool or line model, quantity and destination. The checks below turn those inputs into a useful quotation brief.

Products and selection tasks for Automatic pallet production

Product starting point

Task and selection logic

A line designed for a large external coil

Larger coil formats may reduce reload frequency, but only when coil diameter, height, winding direction and feed hardware match the line.

A compatible conventional coil-fed station

Some stations use a different coil envelope. Compare the station’s accepted format instead of selecting by factory output alone.

01

Jumbo reel

Confirm geometry, winding and capacity.

02

Feeder

Match the support and transfer path.

03

Nailing unit

Check the approved nail and collation.

04

Pallet joint

Qualify driving and assembly on representative timber.

01

Identify the actual feeder

Send the machine manufacturer, full model, feed-station details and current coil label. Include accepted maximum coil diameter and height where documented.

02

Specify nails and winding together

Record nail length, shank diameter, head, point, angle, wire positions, coil count and winding direction. A correct nail inside an unsuitable coil can still fail to feed.

03

Qualify on the production line

Run an agreed sample through the actual system. Record unwind behaviour, feeding, weld separation and joint results under the normal operating procedure before a bulk order.

Jumbo coils are for equipment designed to accept them. Do not assume they fit a hand-held coil nailer.
