For mesh, bedding and upholstery assembly
Specify the components being joined, their combined thickness and the desired closed joint. A mesh manufacturer and an upholstery assembler may need different clearances even when an open ring has the same nominal size.

Start with the closed joint
Specify the target closed inside diameter and joined bundle size. An open crown dimension does not describe the final grip.

Match the ring tool
Provide the ring designation, wire diameter, strip form and exact jaw or tool model. C17 through larger C and CL references are separate geometries.

Inspect a completed connection
Check closure symmetry, loose movement, cut fabric, sharp protrusions and repeatable feeding. Agree any pull or fatigue assessment with your product engineering team.
Questions before you order
Should I order by crown width or closed size?
Provide both. Crown width helps identify the unclosed ring; closed size and the joined materials determine whether the finished connection is appropriate.
Can the rings fasten seat fabric directly to a wooden frame?
They normally close around mating components. Fabric-to-wood attachment usually calls for a suitable upholstery staple and stapler.
Application limits to check
- Hog rings do not replace staples driven into timber.
- Do not select by open width alone or assume all C-type tools share jaws.
