For CL-50, the reference table lists a 45 mm crown. Confirm the drawing before ordering; the model number is not a dimension.

THE FINISHED JOINT IS THE TARGET

Open ring → tool → closure → connection.

Closed geometry

Tool dependent

Measurement guide · schematic, not to scale. Refer to the listed dimensions and an approved order drawing.

01

Open geometry

Match the listed open crown and wire diameter.

02

Closing tool

Confirm the exact jaw, magazine and accepted ring series.

03

Closed form

Confirm the required closure with a sample; it is not derived from the open crown.

04

Finished connection

Check grip, clearance, fabric protection and the joined wire or mesh.

Open C-ring detail. Closed geometry depends on the ring and tool combination.

For mesh, bedding and upholstery assembly

Specify the components being joined, their combined thickness and the desired closed joint. A mesh manufacturer and an upholstery assembler may need different clearances even when an open ring has the same nominal size.

Choose for your workpiece and equipment

01

Start with the closed joint

Specify the target closed inside diameter and joined bundle size. An open crown dimension does not describe the final grip.

02

Match the ring tool

Provide the ring designation, wire diameter, strip form and exact jaw or tool model. C17 through larger C and CL references are separate geometries.

03

Inspect a completed connection

Check closure symmetry, loose movement, cut fabric, sharp protrusions and repeatable feeding. Agree any pull or fatigue assessment with your product engineering team.

DEFINE THE ORDER, NOT JUST THE FASTENER

Packing, samples and order documentation.

Quantity & packing unit

State your quantity in pieces, strips, reels, boxes or cartons. Confirm the conversion between inner packs and shipping cartons.

Samples & minimum order

Send the selected specification and trial quantity. Sample availability, minimum order and lead time will be checked for the requested configuration.

Labels & documentation

Discuss custom packing, private labels and required drawings or documents before order approval. Keep an agreed sample, label and specification reference for repeat orders.

Questions before you order

Provide both. Crown width helps identify the unclosed ring; closed size and the joined materials determine whether the finished connection is appropriate.

They normally close around mating components. Fabric-to-wood attachment usually calls for a suitable upholstery staple and stapler.
