A PRACTICAL STARTING POINT

How to choose this range

01

Fine wire for surface fastening

Evaluate the 1010F, 80, 14 and 71 families for thin material and appearance-sensitive work. Crown and wire cross-section differ, even when leg lengths overlap.

02

Narrow crown for woodworking

90 and 92 series use 18-gauge wire with different crowns. Board thickness, joint details and stapler magazine dimensions determine the starting point.

03

Wider or heavier fastening

P40/2638 and 1450 cover distinct crown geometries. A wide crown spreads the contact area; it does not make a staple interchangeable with another series.
