Drawing confirmation: the 8016 wire width and 1450 wire thickness remain unconfirmed because their source dimensions conflict. Send the current staple sample or drawing with the tool specification; do not fill either gap from gauge or another brand’s series number. How to choose this range

Fine wire for surface fastening
Evaluate the 1010F, 80, 14 and 71 families for covering and lining attachment. Crown and wire cross-section differ, even when leg lengths overlap. Review the covering, backing thickness and exact tool together; do not select a fine-wire covering staple for a load-bearing furniture-frame joint from the application name alone.

Narrow crown for woodworking
90 and 92 series use 18-gauge wire with different crowns. Board thickness, joint details and stapler magazine dimensions determine the starting point.

Wider or heavier fastening
P40/2638 and 1450 cover distinct crown geometries. A wide crown spreads the contact area; it does not make a staple interchangeable with another series.
